Chesky Berkowitz is a seasoned entrepreneur and operator with more than two decades of experience spanning healthcare services, facility ownership, and real estate investment and development. Since launching his career in healthcare in 2001, he has founded, scaled, and led multiple high-impact companies that have reshaped staffing, long-term care, pharmacy services, home healthcare, and behavioral health across the United States.

Mr. Berkowitz is a co-founder of StaffBlue, a healthcare staffing firm dedicated to connecting highly qualified nursing professionals with hospitals and healthcare facilities throughout the Northeast. Under his leadership, the company became one of the region’s fastest-growing nursing staffing providers, recognized for its commitment to quality, reliability, and clinical excellence. Building on this success, he co-founded Specialty Rx, a full-service long-term care pharmacy that has grown into the largest privately owned provider in the country. Today, Specialty Rx serves approximately 150,000 to 200,000 patients across more than 750 healthcare facilities in New York, New Jersey, Ohio, Florida, Pennsylvania, Kentucky, Alabama, and Texas, leveraging advanced, intuitive technology to deliver seamless and transparent service. He also co-founded PellaCare, a homecare agency operating within the Visiting Nurse Service industry, providing high-quality in-home care to individuals with complex healthcare needs.

As his expertise deepened, Mr. Berkowitz expanded into ownership and operations within the post-acute care sector. 

Parallel to his healthcare career, Mr. Berkowitz entered the real estate industry in 2004, co-founding BerkZup Realty, a real estate investment and development firm focused on both residential and commercial properties. Drawing on his deep understanding of healthcare infrastructure and operational needs, he brings a differentiated perspective to real estate investment, identifying underutilized assets and maximizing their value through strategic development. 

Beyond his professional endeavors, Mr. Berkowitz is deeply committed to his community, with longstanding involvement in the Satmar and broader Jewish community. He is the founder and director of one of New York’s largest private schools (currently over 15,000 schools), where he plays an active role in advancing educational excellence, institutional growth, and long-term sustainability. His communal leadership and philanthropic efforts extend to supporting religious, educational, and social initiatives that strengthen communal infrastructure and improve quality of life.
